From Fields to Classroom: My Journey in Public Engagement
Backed by more than 5 years of experience, my career journey spans roles as a content creator for brands, public relations specialist, community mobilizer and lecturer. The latter two remain active through my involvement in teaching roles at Universitas Andalas, and lingkarjuara.id, a self development platform I co-founded since 2019, which has reached more than 10.000 participants nationwide.
Beyond Languange: Cultivating Cultural Intelegence in Communication
These experiences have deepened my understanding that effective communication goes far beyond linguistic proficiency. It requires cultural intelligence: the ability to read context, grasp nuances, and honor diverse worldviews. It has profoundly shaped my perspective about how communication influences attitude and behavioral change. Particularly in today’s post truth era, where opinions, noises echo louder than scholarly voices.
Envisioning an Indonesia Led by Engaged Experts
I truly realize that scholars aren’t always trained to be science communicators. However, I envision a world, where Indonesian scientists and experts back to lead in engaging directly with the public. Such as embracing intercultural awareness, communicating with empathy, and simplifying complex ideas into accessible content. I am currently working to contribute in this space, and continuously equipping myself to take on strategic roles in the future.
